FILIPINO devotees of Señor Sto. Niño brought the Cebuano tradition of dancing the Sinulog to New York City in a celebration at the St. Patrick’s Church in Long Island City, February 5, 2017. A religious feast in the Philippines, the arrival of the image of the Child Jesus in Cebu in 1521 is a historic event that shaped the culture and tradition of the country, making it a national–if not global–event among Filipinos.
