MANILA, Dec. 14, 2016— Bishop Honesto Ongtioco of Cubao inaugurated a new media center of the diocese during a special ceremony held on Dec. 12

“This audio and video production studio is for evangelization,” Fr. Steve Zabala, media director of the diocese, told Manila archdiocese-run Radio Veritas on Tuesday.
Zabala also stressed the need for communication to reach people and to spread the message of Christ.

The facility features a multimedia studio with state-of-the-art broadcast equipment to further improve and strengthen the diocesan ministry on social communications.

The inauguration brought church officials and lay leaders together to witness the occasion, a first in the more than 13-year history of the local church there.
Media is among the ministry priorities of the diocese, particularly utilizing digital platforms for information dissemination and integral evangelization. (CBCPNews)
