Russian bishops conference: We can only grow in collaboration with the Orthodox

New US stamp honors Mother Teresa, admirer and critic of American society

Austin diocese organizes resistance to health board's abortion funding

AUSTIN, Texas, September 5, 2010--The Diocese of Austin, Texas, is organizing local resistance to a major health board's decision to provide $450,000 in annual funding for abortions in the state.

Austin Bishop Joe Vasquez recently wrote to board members of Central Health in Travis County, urging them to withdraw the funding and stating that they are “morally culpable” for their actions.

Mexican governor says feminists lied about women being imprisoned for abortion
